About me
I’m Andrew Kember. I live in Dunfermline, near Edinburgh in Scotland, with my wife Lisa and daughter Miranda.

I’m a Christian who believes that the Bible is the inspired word of God (2 Timothy 3:16). I love listening to the inspiring and convicting sermons by:
I’m a bit of a geek, who thinks that clear, simple design is lovely.
I like eating tasty food, drinking good wine, watching entertaining films and reading absorbing books. I don’t eat black pudding and I dislike liver. I’m better at thinking up great projects than actually starting them. I’m better at starting things than I am at finishing them. I think I’m going to be mildly eccentric when I get older, so I’m getting some practice in now.
I’d like a long pendulum in my loft whose plane of rotation should complete a circle in a day, four hours and fifty-five and a half minutes.

About the website
This is my personal website, which I use to write about my interests and also use to practise my web development skills.
The website is hosted at http://kember.net by Joyent. If you want to experience the future direction of cloud computing, get an account, because the good people at Joyent are on the bleeding edge.
The registration of the Kember.net domain is ably handled by Pteron net services whose friendly and professional service deserves great credit.
The website content is currently managed using some python scripts and Mako Templates. I moved away from Textpattern because I wanted a bit more flexibility in my url structure and I fancied a change.
The favicon was made by Lewis Tuff.
I’ve used some of the icons from Mark James’ ‘Silk’ icon collection.
Some of the larger icons are from Icon Dock.
